It’s easy to think that your underarm fat is with you for life. Despite a good diet and regular exercise, nothing seems to reach this `bingo wings’ area, especially as you get older.
Fat freezing is a safe, non-invasive procedure for permanently reducing arm fat. It’s completely painless, with no needles, incisions or anaesthesia. You can carry on with your day immediately after treatment.
Compared to liposuction, there are a number of benefits to arm fat freezing:
- No risk of infection
- Fast treatment time
- No scarring
- A quick, permanent way to reduce targeted `problem flab’ areas
How arm fat freezing works
Fat freezing, also known as cryolipolysis, cools subcutaneous fat cells to the point where the fat cells are destroyed.
Over a period of 4 or 5 weeks, they are naturally cleared out of the body by the lymphatic system.
Provided you follow a healthy diet and remain active, the results are permanent.

What to expect
On treatment day, we start with a 5-minute patch test to check your compatibility with the procedure.
We draw the target area into a soft cup, then the temperature inside is lowered to below zero. This will be cold enough to destroy subdermal fat cells without affecting the outer layer of skin.
You’ll experience a slight gripping or pinching sensation. Other than that, the treatment is entirely painless. Just sit back and relax while the cold temperature does its work.
The treatment takes around 30 minutes per arm.
You’ll start to see a difference after around 3 weeks. The full benefits will be seen 5 weeks after treatment.
After fat freezing treatment
Because it uses the body’s natural processes, there are no side-effects to fat freezing treatment. You simply wait 3 to 5 weeks for the intense cold to do the hard work.
In the meantime, you should continue to eat a healthy diet, drink 2 litres of plain water per day, avoid too much alcohol and remain active.
